Yes being simple can sure improve the page loading but the only downside I see is that when we use less images and graphics the page might not that “wow” factor.Useful information all together,thanks.

I agree to all above If a web takes long to load I get board…Optimize your graphic Files..We should point this out to our clients..some of my client are born before computers..BBC…just a thought..Thanks

Well i never ever stay on a website that make me wait more than 10 sec. I think one common issue is simply image/graphic size, i constantly notice website that have humongous images that takes horrendous amount of time to load and display images at a quality no better. Especially websites from indonesia

I agree its great that Flash sites are gone, or almost gone. All that waiting for each page to load is ridiculous, what were they thinking. I agree its so important for a site to load fast. Here in South Africa our bandwidth costs are some of the highest in the world and a 1mb line is FAST.

You really need to stay away from using lots of Frames. They can really cause problems. Don’t forget to optimize your graphic files and stay away from using to many png files. Visit us at Data Tech Solutions…

I agree with you. I recently built a flash website that took forever to load. After rethinking the design I decided to only have a flash header of 300KB instead of a 2mg flash website. The result was incredible. My bounce rate dropped from 80% to 10%. So the lesson is that even if flash is appealing to visitors they rather not wait too long. Basically if you build a flash website make sure it loads under 10 seconds.

I think another good tip would be: Use repeating images like you have in your header and body. This looks nice and is a small picture…

Even with ever-increasing bandwidth, I’m glad to see a lot less flash-only sites on the web.
